the kitchen

I just did a big clean. This morning the usual mess crossed the threshold into full-out grunginess (unattended oatmeal incident). I was running late and had an appointment so I just left it to harden and crust. I know! Delish, right? Anywhoozers, so, I thought it was an apt time to share some more pictures of my digs.  I still have a bit of sprucing up to do but so far so good, no?

My new (to me) gold tray from Value Village and my blue glass from Anthropologie housing little Valentine Candy Hearts (is that what they're called?).

My sacred Japanese antique salt and pepper shakers.

The mirror is from Winners, the Canadian equivalent to TJ Maxx, bought on the cheap. Same goes for the scale and the copper kettle from Salvation Army.

I should mention that I know that's probably not safe to have all those appliances clustered together, but, see, I never use the microwave, so I figure that helps, non? They're a bit shabby but it's a rental and more than enough.

A glimpse of an upcoming table setting post.

P.S. This is the first part of a two-parter on the kitchen.
P.P.S. Take a look at my bedroom and the 'before(s).'
